On the eve of Manchester City’s Champions League opener against Inter Milan, a rematch of the 2023 final, Jack Grealish spoke to the club’s official channels. The English winger fondly recalled the joy of that victory while looking ahead to the new challenge.
Reflecting on the memorable final, Grealish said, “It was the day we secured the Treble, one of the best days of our lives, so it will be nice to play against them again.” He added, “We hope to go out there, perform well, and get the win.”
Grealish emphasized the team’s trust in their process and preparation leading up to that triumph. He also praised his teammate Erling Haaland, stating, “Then there’s the big man… Erling Haaland who has already scored nine goals this season. I think that’s more than my best ever year in the Premier League, and he’s done it after four games! He’s an incredible player and person, getting everything he deserves because he works so hard. He’s an absolute machine.”
Looking forward to the busy schedule ahead, Grealish expressed excitement: “Now the best period begins: playing every three or four days, with difficult matches. This is where it starts to get fun.”
