Galatasaray’s bid for Laurienté rejected by Sassuolo

Start

Galatasaray have made a late push to sign Armand Laurienté from Sassuolo, but their efforts have been rebuffed. The Turkish club, not content with pursuing only Nicola Zalewski, set their sights on the 25-year-old French winger in the final hours of the transfer window.

According to reports from Gianluca Di Marzio, Galatasaray submitted two separate offers to Sassuolo for Laurienté. The most substantial bid was worth €13 million plus €2 million in bonuses, along with a 10% sell-on clause. However, Sassuolo’s CEO Giovanni Carnevali decided to reject the proposal.

Laurienté has been a key player for Sassuolo since joining the club in 2022. His performances have attracted interest from several clubs, with Galatasaray being the latest to make a concrete move. The French winger’s ability to play on either flank and his goal-scoring prowess make him an attractive prospect for many teams.

Sassuolo’s decision to retain Laurienté suggests they view him as an integral part of their plans for the upcoming season. Despite the tempting offer from Galatasaray, which would have provided a significant financial boost, the Italian club has chosen to prioritize their on-field ambitions.

This failed transfer attempt leaves Galatasaray still in search of reinforcements as they look to bolster their squad for domestic and European competitions.
