Fiorentina striker Moise Kean spoke to Rai Sport following the Azzuri’s 2-1 victory against Israel in the second matchday of Group 2 in Nations League A. His return marks an opportunity for redemption, both for himself and for the national team he deeply cares about.
Kean expressed his commitment to the national team, stating, “I’ve returned here to help the squad. Unfortunately, last year didn’t go well, so it was important for me to be ready when called upon.”
Regarding his season, Kean emphasized his preference for action over words: “My season will be judged on the pitch because that’s how I am. I prefer to let the facts speak for themselves.”
Kean shared his optimism about the current season: “I think this season will be important. I’ve also started well in the league. At Fiorentina, I’ve been welcomed warmly, and the coach has given me a lot of confidence.”
Reflecting on the physical nature of the match against France, Kean said, “In Paris, it was crucial to enter with the right aggression and to help the team against a very strong side. We needed to win and keep possession of the ball.”
Kean highlighted the team’s cohesion and the significant role of Gianluigi Buffon: “We have a great group in the national team. Buffon is a fundamental presence, offering valuable advice. We’ve known each other since Juventus, and I listen to him a lot.”
