Having recently secured Victor Osimhen on loan, Turkish giants Galatasaray are reportedly looking to strengthen their left-back position with Italian talent. According to TMW, Luca Pellegrini of Lazio is among the top candidates on their shortlist.
Pellegrini, who recently suffered injuries in a car accident, has caught the attention of the Turkish club’s management. The Italian left-back sustained a lacerated contusion on his right leg and various bruises following the incident.
Lazio released an official statement regarding Pellegrini’s condition: “The S.S. Lazio medical staff reports that player Luca Pellegrini, following the road accident that occurred today, suffered a lacerated contusion on his right leg and various bruises. The player is currently resting at home in good condition and has already begun specific treatments. He will undergo daily clinical monitoring and further instrumental examinations in the coming days to quantify recovery times.”
Despite the setback, Galatasaray’s interest in Pellegrini remains strong. The club sees him as a potential solution to bolster their left flank, continuing their trend of recruiting from the Italian league.
Lazio’s coach, Marco Baroni, commented on Pellegrini’s situation: “We wish Luca a speedy recovery. Fortunately, he is doing well, and on behalf of myself, the entire staff, and the team, we send our best wishes. We are working, and every day is precious for us. We have put the past game behind us and studied this complicated away match. The team has worked very well.”
