Juventus and Fenerbahce have officially agreed on terms for the transfer of Serbian winger Filip Kostic to the Turkish club. The deal, which has been in the works for some time, is now in its final stages, with both clubs working diligently to complete the transfer before the Turkish transfer window closes on September 13.
Fenerbahce have confirmed the verbal agreement with an official statement, marking a significant step forward in the negotiations. Kostic is expected to arrive in Istanbul shortly for his medical examination, a crucial step before the transfer can be officially announced.
The Serbian international, who has found himself out of favour under new Juventus manager Thiago Motta, is reportedly open to the move. Kostic and his representatives have given the green light for the transfer, seeing it as an opportunity to revitalize his career under the guidance of José Mourinho at Fenerbahce.
The transfer is structured as a loan deal with an option to buy, extending until the end of the 2024/25 season. This arrangement suits both clubs, with Juventus able to offload a player no longer in their plans and Fenerbahce gaining a talented winger without an immediate financial commitment.
Kostic’s current contract with Juventus runs until June 30, 2026, but this move could potentially see him leave the Italian giants permanently if Fenerbahce decides to exercise their purchase option.
