Start

Juventus defender Danilo has reaffirmed his commitment to the Brazilian national team following their victory against Ecuador in a World Cup qualifier. The experienced player addressed his previous comments about potentially leaving the national team and expressed his dedication to representing Brazil.

Speaking after the match, Danilo first commented on the importance of the win against Ecuador:

“The most important thing was to win and climb up the standings to bring tranquility and be able to correct some things. Qualification matches are always very complicated.”

The Juventus star also discussed the playing style that new coach Dorival Junior is implementing with the national team:

“Dorival asks for a mobile game, and to do that, we need time. Thanks to the victories, the team’s adaptation to his requests will be faster.”

Danilo then addressed his previous comments about potentially leaving the national team after Brazil’s disappointing quarter-final exit in the Copa America against Uruguay. He explained:

“Playing for the national team is a source of great pride. I’ve been doing it for 13 years. Those words were dictated by a moment of sadness and disappointment.”

Emphasizing his current state of mind and physical condition, Danilo made a strong statement about his commitment to the Brazilian national team:

“I feel good physically and mentally. As long as I’m like this and they want me to be here, I will defend the Seleção tooth and nail.”
