Juventus have released an official statement regarding the injury status of Francisco Conceicao, who was forced to halt training yesterday due to a physical issue. The Portuguese winger is now confirmed to miss the upcoming Serie A match against Empoli and the Champions League fixture against PSV Eindhoven.
According to the club’s communiqué: “Following the muscular problem experienced during yesterday’s training session, Francisco Conceicao underwent diagnostic examinations at J|Medical. These tests revealed a lesion in the peroneal muscles of his right leg. The player will undergo further examinations in 10 days.”
This injury setback comes as a blow to both the player and the team, as Conceicao was looking to establish himself in the Juventus squad after his recent arrival. The timeframe for his return remains uncertain, pending the results of the follow-up examinations scheduled in about a week and a half.
