Juventus has officially confirmed the acquisition of Luis Semedo, a promising young striker born in 2003, who will join their Next Gen team competing in Serie C. The news, which had been anticipated due to its appearance on the Lega Serie A website, has now been formally announced through Juventus’ social media channels.
Semedo, who developed his skills in Benfica’s youth academy, arrives from Sunderland on a straight loan deal. The club released an official statement welcoming the Portuguese forward:
“A new addition to the Juventus Next Gen attack: Luis Semedo joins on loan from Sunderland. Born on August 11, 2003, in Lisbon, Portugal, Semedo is a young striker who honed his technical and tactical abilities in Benfica’s youth sector.”
The statement goes on to describe Semedo’s playing style and attributes: “Luis is a versatile forward, blessed with great physicality and aerial ability, characteristics that make him dangerous in the penalty area. Despite his young age, he has already demonstrated great potential and the ability to adapt to various offensive roles.”
Juventus concluded the announcement with a warm welcome: “Welcome to Juventus, Luis.”
