Serie A | Verona 0-3 Juventus: Match Report

Start

Juventus continued their impressive start to the Serie A season with a commanding 3-0 victory over Hellas Verona, maintaining their perfect record after two rounds. Dusan Vlahovic was the star of the show, netting a brace, while young Nicolò Savona marked his full debut with a goal.

Both teams entered the match with confidence after 3-0 wins in their opening fixtures. Verona, who had stunned Napoli in their first game, gave Daniel Mosquera his first start. Juventus, dealing with injuries to key players like Khephren Thuram and Tim Weah, handed a senior debut to Nicolò Savona at right-back.

The match began with intense action as Gleison Bremer made crucial blocks to deny Verona early chances. Juventus goalkeeper Lorenzo Montipò was also called into action, making an impressive save from Manuel Locatelli’s long-range effort.

Vlahovic opened the scoring after a well-executed team move, controlling a through ball from Kenan Yildiz before finishing clinically. Savona then doubled the lead with a looping header from Samuel Mbangula’s cross, capping off a dream debut for the academy product.

In the second half, Vlahovic converted a penalty after Mbangula was fouled in the box, sealing his brace and Juventus’ dominance. The Serbian striker also contributed defensively, making a crucial interception from a Verona free-kick.

The match saw Pierre Kalulu make his Juventus debut following his loan move from AC Milan. Despite Verona’s late efforts to salvage something from the game, Juventus held firm to secure a clean sheet and maintain their perfect start to the season.
