Como manager Cesc Fabregas expressed satisfaction with his team’s performance following their 1-1 draw against Cagliari. The former Spanish international believes Como deserved more from the match, particularly based on their second-half display.
Fabregas highlighted the team’s commitment to giving young players opportunities, which he feels contributed to a strong overall performance. He acknowledged that the team still has much to learn but emphasized the family-like atmosphere within the squad.
“We deserved more, especially in the second half. We gave young players a chance and managed to put in a good performance. We still have a lot to learn.
“We are a family and everyone needs to contribute – there are many new players who still need to settle in, which takes time. We always play to win, no matter the opponent.
“I decided to play Strefezza in the attacking midfield role to make a difference – we needed his qualities to hurt Cagliari. He’s a great lad and I’m really happy with how he’s playing.
“Belotti is working well, if he keeps trying the goals will come. When you’re consistent, results follow and you grow along with the team. He had a great game, even in the defensive phase – he doesn’t necessarily need to score to make a difference. Cutrone knows his qualities, he was confident and he showed it.”
