Crystal Palace makes Initial bid for Juventus’ Kostic

Start

Crystal Palace have taken a significant step in their pursuit of Juventus winger Filip Kostic by submitting an opening offer of €8 million for the Serbian international. The Premier League club is keen to bolster their attacking options with a player of Kostic‘s quality and experience.

TuttoJuve report how Juventus acquired Kostic just two years ago for €14 million, but the Italian giants have not immediately rejected Palace’s approach. Sources suggest that if the English club were to increase their bid by €1 million and include additional performance-based bonuses, a deal could be reached.

The 31-year-old Kostic has found himself surplus to requirements under new Juventus manager Thiago Motta, despite having contributed significantly during his time in Turin. His potential move to Crystal Palace could reunite him with former Eintracht Frankfurt manager Oliver Glasner, under whom Kostic flourished in Germany.

While Juventus initially set an asking price of €8 million, they appear willing to negotiate, recognizing the opportunity to offload a player no longer central to their plans. The Serie A club’s openness to discussions indicates their desire to streamline their squad and potentially free up funds for other transfers.
