Juventus set to secure Nico Gonzalez from Fiorentina for €30 Million

Start

Juventus are on the verge of finalizing a deal to acquire Nico Gonzalez from Fiorentina, with the transfer fee set at €30 million. Cristiano Giuntoli, Juventus’ sporting director, has been negotiating intensively with Fiorentina and spent the weekend in Tuscany to advance talks. The urgency of the deal is driven by Juventus’ desire to have Gonzalez ready for their Serie A debut against Como on August 19.

La Gazzetta dello Sport report that the negotiations have been complex, with both clubs initially considering including a player exchange involving Weston McKennie or Filip Kostic. However, to expedite the transfer, Juventus and Fiorentina have decided to separate these discussions, focusing first on bringing Gonzalez to Turin. Fiorentina is keen to secure a replacement before finalizing Gonzalez’s departure, with Albert Gudmundsson from Genoa being their primary target.

In addition to Gonzalez, Juventus is also pursuing other reinforcements. Francisco Conceiçao, currently with Porto, is a top candidate for another attacking position. Juventus has enlisted the help of agent Jorge Mendes to facilitate a potential move, although competition from other clubs, such as RB Leipzig, remains a challenge.

Another key target for Juventus is Teun Koopmeiners from Atalanta. Giuntoli is working to soften Atalanta’s stance and hopes to present an offer of €50 million, including bonuses, to secure the Dutch midfielder. Koopmeiners, who is eager to join Juventus, remains hopeful that an agreement will be reached soon.
