Genoa have begun discussions with Napoli to bring back Giovanni Simeone, as they look to strengthen their attacking options. With Mateo Retegui set to join Atalanta, Genoa is actively seeking a replacement and has identified Simeone as a prime candidate.
According to Gianluca Di Marzio, the club is interested in acquiring Simeone on a loan deal, but Napoli has yet to agree to these terms. Simeone, who has previously played for Genoa, is seen as a valuable addition to the team, especially given his experience and proven track record in Serie A.
In addition to pursuing Simeone, Genoa is also considering other options, including Bojan Miovski from Aberdeen. However, they face competition from Girona, who is keen to secure Miovski’s services by Thursday. Genoa plans to make a concerted effort to prevent the Macedonian striker from moving to Spain.
