Juventus have officially submitted their first bid to Atalanta for the highly sought-after Dutch midfielder, Teun Koopmeiners. According to Fabrizio Romano, the offer on the table is reportedly €45 million. This move comes after Koopmeiners agreed to personal terms with Juventus back in May. However, the transfer now hinges on the negotiations between the two clubs, as Atalanta has consistently demanded a substantial fee for their star player.
The bid for Koopmeiners is part of Juventus’ broader strategy to strengthen their squad. The club’s financial maneuvering includes the anticipated sale of Matias Soulé to Roma, which is expected to finalize soon. The funds from Soulé’s transfer, alongside potential sales of other players like teenage defender Dean Huijsen, are intended to bolster Juventus’ financial capacity to meet Atalanta’s valuation of Koopmeiners.
Juventus’ interest in Koopmeiners has intensified, especially after the recent injury to Fabio Miretti, which has increased the urgency to secure a top-quality midfielder. The club is eager to finalize the deal and integrate Koopmeiners into their squad for the upcoming season.
