Genoa are actively seeking a new goalkeeper following the departure of Josep Martinez to Inter Milan, and are being linked with a number of players. Recent reports had suggested the Grifone may looks to former Manchester United player and current free agent David De Gea.
Gianluca Di Marzio reports that among the candidates being evaluated is Diant Ramaj from Ajax. The 23-year-old German goalkeeper has found himself as a backup to Pasveer under Francesco Farioli’s management at Ajax, potentially opening the door for a move. Ajax is reportedly open to offers for Ramaj, who is keen on securing more playing time.
However, the pursuit of Ramaj may prove challenging for Genoa. Ajax has set a high asking price for the young goalkeeper, making the operation complex. Despite this, Genoa’s interest in Ramaj is genuine, with the club having made initial inquiries to assess the feasibility of a potential transfer.
Ramaj is not the only name on Genoa’s shortlist. The club, under the guidance of manager Alberto Gilardino, is also considering other options. These include Andrei Radu (known as Roman), Dominik Kotarski, and even the experienced De Gea, whose name has emerged in recent reports.
