Hellas Verona are on the verge of completing the signing of midfielder Grigoris Kastanos from Salernitana. The player is expected to undergo his medical examination and sign his contract with the Gialloblu between Monday and Tuesday next week.
Gianluca Di Marzio confirms that the transfer will be a permanent move, with Verona agreeing to pay €1.2 million for Kastanos. As part of the deal, Yayah Kallon will move in the opposite direction, joining Salernitana on loan.
Kastanos, who spent the last season with Salernitana, made a significant impact in Serie A. Across all competitions, including the Coppa Italia, the midfielder featured in 28 matches, scoring three goals and providing three assists.
The 25-year-old Cypriot international brings valuable Serie A experience to Verona, having previously played for Pescara, Frosinone, and Juventus in his career. His versatility in midfield and ability to contribute both defensively and offensively make him an attractive addition to Verona’s squad.
