Start

Como’s head coach, Cesc Fabregas, expressed his optimism about the potential arrival of Raphael Varane following their 3-1 friendly victory over Cagliari. Speaking to centotrentuno (via Gianlucadimarzio.it), Fabregas shared his thoughts on the team’s preparation and transfer prospects.

On the potential signing of Varane, Fabregas said, “When the right moment comes, there will be an announcement. We hope he arrives soon because in three weeks we have our first official match, and I want the squad to be as complete as possible.”

Regarding the possibility of Emil Audero joining the team as a goalkeeper, Fabregas commented, “Is Audero coming? It could be, but until it’s confirmed, anything can happen.”

Fabregas also praised Andrea Belotti’s performance and work ethic, emphasizing the striker’s importance to the team. “He’s doing a great job. For me, the striker is the first defender. He has to run like an animal, that’s non-negotiable. Today he scored his first goal, and he needs to stay calm and bring goals and leadership to this team. I’m convinced he will do very well.”
