Lazio’s sporting director, Angelo Fabiani, recently provided insights into the club’s current priorities during an interview with LLSN. Despite various rumors and speculations linking Lazio to high-profile players like James Rodriguez, Mason Greenwood, and Giovanni Simeone, Fabiani clarified that the club’s immediate focus is elsewhere:
“In this moment, the priority is on sales,” Fabiani explained. “It’s a problem that aligns with the regulations concerning the squad’s overage players and managing the roster effectively.” He emphasized that Lazio is currently concentrating on offloading players to comply with these regulations.
Fabiani further elaborated on the club’s strategy, stating, “The club is focused on sales right now, and we are working towards that. Next week, I will meet with Baroni to assess the situation. The transfer market is not closed, but the priority remains on player exits.”
