French defender Jean-Clair Todibo has made it clear that his preferred destination is Juventus, rejecting an offer from West Ham United. The 24-year-old centre-back, who previously played for Barcelona, is focused on joining the Bianconeri as they seek to bolster their defensive lineup.
According to Gianluca Di Marzio, Juventus have expressed interest in securing Todibo on a loan deal with an option to buy. The Bianconeri are now working to determine the financial terms they can offer Nice for the loan. Todibo had an impressive season with Nice, making 33 appearances and providing 3 assists under coach Didier Digard.
Despite West Ham’s efforts to sign him, Todibo remains steadfast in his desire to move to Juventus. The Italian club’s pursuit of Todibo aligns with their strategy to strengthen their defensive options and provide new coach Thiago Motta with the necessary reinforcements for the upcoming season.
The Bianconeri are expected to conclude a number of outgoing transfers in the coming week, in order to fund their new signings, including Todibo. Reports from Sky Sport Italia and others, suggest that young defender Dean Huijsen will be sold in order to help fund Todibo’s transfer to Turin, with Juve expecting to earn close to €20 million from the sale.
