Start

Deportivo Alavés have officially confirmed that milan youngster Luka Romero has joined them on loan for the 2024-25 season. The deal includes an option for Alavés to purchase the player at the end of the loan period for a reported fee of €7 million.

Romero, who holds Mexican, Argentine, and Spanish nationalities, has already gained experience in La Liga. Last season, he spent six months on loan at UD Almería, where he made 13 appearances and scored 3 goals. This performance caught the attention of Alavés, who are looking to strengthen their squad for the upcoming season.

A statement on the club’s official website confirmed the news:

“Luka Romero has become a new player for Deportivo Alavés after the club and AC Milan reached an agreement for the loan of the young and talented winger. The Alavés club reserves a purchase option for the player.

The 19-year-old Mexican player (born in Victoria de Durango on 18/11/2004), who also holds Argentine and Spanish nationality, arrives on loan from the Rossoneri club and will wear the blue and white colors during the 2024-25 season.

A talented left-winger trained in Mallorca’s youth academy arrives in Vitoria-Gasteiz. At 15 years and 255 days old, Luka Romero became the youngest player to debut in Spain’s First Division in 2020. He made the jump to Serie A at 17 with Lazio, and in the 2023-24 season, he was signed by AC Milan.

This won’t be Luka Romero’s first foray into the First Division, as he already debuted last season in LALIGA EA SPORTS with UD Almería, where he completed a loan spell in which he played thirteen official matches and scored three goals.

Speed, cunning, and a bright future are qualities of Deportivo Alavés’ new player for the 2024-25 season. He has already arrived in Vitoria-Gasteiz and will be part of the expedition heading to the preseason training camp in Villaitana.”
