Juventus’ sporting director Cristiano Giuntoli is making a strategic move to secure Karim Adeyemi from Borussia Dortmund. The 22-year-old German attacker tops Juventus’ wishlist, with the club keen to strengthen their offensive lineup.
La Gazzetta dello Sport outline how Giuntoli, known for his market acumen, is reportedly planning a quick trip to Munich, where Adeyemi’s family and entourage reside. This visit aims to reinforce Juventus’ interest and potentially sway the player towards a move to Turin. The proximity of Munich to Juventus’ current training camp in Herzogenaurach provides an ideal opportunity for this crucial meeting.
However, the pursuit of Adeyemi faces significant challenges. Borussia Dortmund has shown reluctance to part with the young talent, with club executive Lars Ricken stating they have never considered selling Adeyemi. The Bundesliga side values the player at around 40-45 million euros plus bonuses, a substantial figure for Juventus.
To fund potential transfers, Juventus is looking to offload players like Soulé and Huijsen. The club’s priority remains securing Teun Koopmeiners from Atalanta and defender Jean-Clair Todibo from Nice before focusing on attacking reinforcements.
As an alternative to Adeyemi, Juventus is also considering Galeno from Porto. The Portuguese club’s financial situation might make them more amenable to negotiations, potentially offering more flexible terms or creative transfer formulas. Galeno, who holds a Portuguese passport, fits Juventus’ transfer criteria as they have already filled their non-EU player quota.
Another name on Juventus’ radar is Francisco Conceicao, son of former Lazio player Sergio Conceicao, also currently at Porto. The club continues to explore various options to bolster their attacking options for the upcoming season.
