Italian striker Ciro Immobile has officially ended his eight-year tenure with Lazio, sealing a move to Turkish giants Besiktas. The 34-year-old forward has signed a two-year contract with the Istanbul-based club, marking the end of an era for both the player and Lazio.

Despite having already made the move to Turkiye, Lazio have now officially confirmed the news via a statement on the clubs official website.

Immobile’s departure from Lazio comes after a remarkable stint that saw him become the club’s all-time top scorer with an impressive tally of 207 goals in 340 appearances. During his time in Rome, he played a pivotal role in securing three titles for the Biancocelesti, consistently proving his worth as a prolific goalscorer.

The transfer, reportedly worth around €3 million, sees Besiktas acquiring one of Serie A’s most consistent strikers of the past decade. Immobile is set to earn approximately €6 million per season in Turkey, with an option to extend his contract for an additional year.

As he embarked on his journey to Istanbul, Immobile expressed mixed emotions at the airport. He acknowledged the exceptional journey he had with Lazio, describing the fans as fantastic and crediting them for giving him everything. Despite the emotional departure, Immobile emphasized that the decision was made calmly, recognizing that the time had come for a new chapter in his career.
