Paris Saint-Germain are intensifying their efforts to secure the services of Napoli’s star striker Victor Osimhen. The French champions are exploring various options to make the deal more attractive to the Italian club, including the possibility of player exchanges.
Sky Sport Italia report how recent developments saw Osimhen’s agent, Roberto Calenda, visiting Paris on Monday, July 15, fueling speculation about ongoing negotiations. This visit comes months after Osimhen had hinted at his desire to leave Napoli at the end of the season, with PSG emerging as the frontrunner for his signature.
In their pursuit of the Nigerian international, PSG is considering offering player exchanges as part of the deal. Three names have been put forward as potential makeweights: Carlos Soler, the Spanish midfielder formerly of Valencia; Nordi Mukiele, the French defender who previously played for RB Leipzig; and Kang-In Lee, the young South Korean attacking midfielder who also came from Valencia.
Among these options, Napoli appears to be most interested in Kang-In Lee, the 23-year-old who only recently joined PSG. This preference could potentially shape the direction of negotiations between the two clubs.
While PSG is leading the chase, there’s still interest from Saudi Arabian clubs in Osimhen. However, the player himself is said to prefer remaining in Europe to continue his career at the highest level.
