Start

Torino are  on the verge of securing the transfer of Saul Coco from Las Palmas, as they look to bolster their defense following Alessandro Buongiorno’s departure. The Serie A club is in advanced negotiations with Las Palmas for the 24-year-old center-back.

Gianluca Di Marzio report that the deal is reportedly close to completion, with Torino set to pay €7.5 million plus €2 million in easily achievable bonuses. Additionally, Las Palmas will retain a 10% sell-on clause for any future transfer of Coco.

While the transfer is not yet finalized, the only remaining detail to be ironed out is the payment schedule. Both clubs are working to define the dates for the installments.

Coco, born in 1999 in Lanzarote, Spain, has chosen to represent Equatorial Guinea at the international level. Standing at 1.87m tall, he is known for his strong physical presence and decent technical abilities.

The defender had an impressive 2023-24 season with Las Palmas in La Liga, making 30 appearances and even contributing a goal. His performances have caught the eye of Torino, who see him as an ideal replacement for the departing Buongiorno.
