Moise Kean was officially presented to the media today as a new Fiorentina player, and spoke about his ambitions with his new club. The 24-year-old made the move from Turin to Florence last week, and gave his first official press conference for the Viola earlier today:
“I haven’t chosen a number yet; I will decide with my teammates. I don’t feel the pressure of this experience. Fiorentina has had great forwards in its history.”
PALLADINO – “We’ve talked. His style of play convinced me immediately. He did very well with Monza. He plays a lot with the forwards and has an offensive game. This is what I was looking for: a team that favors offensive play.”
CHARACTERISTICS – “My job is to score, but I also need to contribute to the team. I am in a great club. I have excellent teammates, and we can achieve many great things. It all starts with the group.”
AMBITION – “The goal is to improve and go further each time. Fiorentina is a good team, and we want to challenge our opponents.”
JOURNEY – “Every year, I want to do more. Last year, I had many injuries and it didn’t go well. Now, I can and must prove myself, first to myself, and then to Fiorentina, who believed in me.”
THE ZERO GOALS – “It’s not a burden. That only leads to bad choices. Mentally, I am very strong. You need the right moment, and you have to create it to do well.”
JOURNEY – “Every bad moment is a lesson. My records are in the past. I work every day to set more records and be at the top.”
OBJECTIVES – “Juve helped me, but what’s more important is what lies ahead. I am ambitious; I can’t say how many goals I want to score. But I have big ambitions.”
ROLE – “I don’t have a specific role. I have scored more as a forward. But when the ball arrives in the area, left or right doesn’t matter to me. I just want to contribute.”
VLAHOVIC – “He only spoke well of Florence. Even when we were in Turin. This is a wonderful city, and now it’s up to us to bring joy to the fans.”
FROM TURIN TO FLORENCE – “I am here to play football and win. I don’t feel the pressure; I am not someone who thinks much about the disputes between fans. I just focus on bringing joy to my fans. This motivates me to do well.”
