Gazzetta: Milan looking to Serbian giant Strahinja Pavlovic for defensive reinforcement

Start

Milan are exploring options to strengthen their defencee, with Serbian international Strahinja Pavlovic emerging as a potential target. The 22-year-old center-back, currently playing for Red Bull Salzburg, has caught the attention of the Rossoneri management.

Gazzetta report that the Rossoneri, who already have a good relationship with Salzburg following the Noah Okafor deal last summer, are now considering making a move for Pavlovic. However, they face competition from Napoli, who have been monitoring the defender for some time as part of their planned defensive overhaul.

Pavlovic’s market value is estimated between €20-25 million, a significant investment that Milan believes could yield a higher resale value in the future due to the player’s strength and young age. The Serbian defender has gained considerable experience both in international football and the Champions League over the past two years with Salzburg.

Despite a slightly underwhelming spell at Monaco, Pavlovic has since redeemed himself with successful loan stints at Cercle Brugge and Basel. His versatility is another attractive feature, as Serbia’s national team coach Stojkovic has occasionally deployed him as a full-back.
