Roma have officially confirmed the contract renewal of coach Daniele De Rossu until 2027. De Rossi was initially on a short term contract, but the renewal had been expected following the club’s turnaround under the former captain.
A statement on the club’s official website confirmed the news:
AS Roma is pleased to officially announce the contract renewal of Daniele De Rossi as Head Coach of the First Team until 2027.
Having taken over the bench on January 16, 2024, Daniele has led the Giallorossi group in 26 official matches, 18 in the league and 8 in the Europa League up to the semi-finals.
Before the return leg of the Europa League quarter-finals, the Ownership – the Friedkin Group – had announced in a statement their intention to continue with DDR. “We couldn’t be happier to build a long-term project with Daniele,” were the words of the Owners in the statement on April 18.
The Club’s intentions have now been transformed into a three-year contract, which the coach – born in 1983 – has enthusiastically signed, continuing the natural symbiosis with this team, his team. Roma
