Atalanta have officially announced their outright signing of Charles De Ketelaere, following his successful loan spell from Milan. The 23-year-old struggled in his first season in Serie A with the Rossoneri, but adapted quickly to life in Bergamo, going on to help Atalanta secure their first Europa League trophy. The Belgian midfielder had always expressed his desire to remain with the club, and La Dea have now confirmed his official signing in a statement on the clubs official website:
DE KETELAERE IS ALL BLACK AND BLUE!
*AST SEASON: 14 GOALS AND 11 ASSISTS FOR THE BELGIAN FORWARD
Atalanta BC is pleased to announce that the rights to the sporting services of Charles De Ketelaere are entirely owned by the Black and Blue Club.
In the 2023/24 season, the Belgian forward fully met expectations, scoring 14 goals and providing 11 assists in the 50 matches played with Atalanta across all competitions (Serie A TIM, UEFA Europa League, and Coppa Italia Frecciarossa).
The Percassi family, the Pagliuca family, and the entire Club are delighted with Charles’ continued presence in black and blue, and they wish him the best personal and team successes as he continues his sports career in Bergamo.
