There’s bad news for Luciano Spalletti as Juventus midfielder Nicolò Fagioli is not at 100% and will miss Italy’s first Euro 2024 match against Albania. Despite participating in training and showing signs of improvement, Fagioli is unlikely to start to avoid any risks.
Nicolo Barella and Davide Frattesi have both returned to training following their own injury issues, but look likely to part of the squad for the opening match.
Italy will kick off their Euro 2024 campaign on Saturday, June 15 against Albania. Their second group match will be against Spain on Thursday, June 20, followed by the final group match against Croatia on Monday, June 24, also at 21:00.
