According to reports in Italy, former Roma and Lille coach Paulo Fonseca is set to be named as the new head coach of Milan. The Rossoneri have confirmed the departure of Stefano Pioli and have been working on his successor for the last month.
Numerous reports have suggested that Milan have now narrowed down the list of potential candidates to just Fonseca’s, and are on the verge of appointing him in the role.
Calciomercato’s Daniele Longo reports that Fonseca has effectively been confirmed as the new coach of Milan and will sign a contract upon his return from Australia.
The Portuguese tactician previously managed Roma in Serie A for two seasons, winning 53 of his 102 games in charge, drawing 21 and losing 28.
