The agent of Inter striker Lautaro Martinez says he will be meeting with the clubs news owners soon to decide his clients future. The negotiations for the Argentines strikers new contract are currently at a standstill, with reports suggesting player’s demands do not align with the club’s offer, despite it being an improved one. Speaking with TvPlay, the strikers agent Alejandro Camano tried to provide some clarity on the ongoing talks:
MVP Title
“Winning the MVP title in Serie A for Lautaro? I’m happy for such a significant award; I believe it’s a result of what Inter has achieved this season.”
“When did I think he could become the best player in Serie A? I’ve seen many important players in my career. I came into his life two years ago, but I think he was already a significant talent at Racing. He is still young and has had an incredible season this year.”
The future
“His future? We’re talking about an Inter player, and we have total respect for the Nerazzurri. I haven’t spoken to any other teams about his future, and I don’t intend to. I’m only talking to Inter about a possible renewal, even though Lautaro still has two years left on his contract with the Nerazzurri. Are other teams in Europe interested? It’s logical, but I only talk to Inter.”
“The figures for the renewal? I don’t think the fans need to know this. I discuss these matters only with Inter. People mention 12 million, 14 million, but, again, these are issues that concern Lautaro and the club. Moreover, these numbers haven’t come from me or Inter. Why should we talk about this?”
“Let’s talk about his love for Inter. The fans need to know that Lautaro loves Milan and the team. Have we already talked with the new ownership? I always talk to Inter, and we will meet soon. The fans should stay calm because Lautaro loves this team. Obviously, we will understand what the new ownership thinks about Lautaro.”
Copa America
“Right now, he is focused on the Copa America with Argentina and wants to do well. Next year’s goal? That’s the objective.”
Hakimi
“A return of Hakimi to Italy? He was very happy at Inter, but today he is doing very well at PSG and has a contract until 2026.”
