Torino’s Alessandro Buongiorno finds himself in high demand this summer, with Inter reportedly joining Napoli, Tottenham, and Juventus in pursuit of the talented defender.
The 24-year-old center-back is widely anticipated to depart Torino at the conclusion of the season, with a price tag hovering around €40 million. Recent reports in the Corriere dello Sport suggested Napoli’s interest in Buongiorno, with a proposed offer of €35 million plus an additional €5 million in bonuses.
However, according to Sky Sport Italia transfer expert Gianluca Di Marzio, Inter have now entered the race for Buongiorno. This move could prove financially advantageous for the Nerazzurri, as Buongiorno represents a more affordable option compared to their primary target, Atalanta’s Giorgio Scalvini.
Calciomercato journalist Daniele Longo reports that Spurs are also very interested in Buongiorno and Torino expect to trigger an auction between a number of Europe’s top sides for their young centre-back.
Juventus, although lurking in the background, may face challenges in securing Buongiorno’s signature, particularly after the transfer of Gleison Bremer from Torino.
Buongiorno, who will turn 25 in June, boasts three senior caps for Italy and is expected to feature in Luciano Spalletti’s squad for EURO 2024.
