Juventus enter the race against Milan for Maxence Lacroix

Start

Fresh reports emerging from France indicate that Juventus have thrown their hat into the ring to challenge Milan in pursuit of VfL Wolfsburg defender Maxence Lacroix.

The 23-years-old French center-back has less than 18 months remaining on his contract with the Bundesliga outfit, and there seems to be no indication of a contract extension on the horizon.

Milan, on the lookout to reinforce their defensive ranks, have earmarked Lacroix as one of their targets, alongside Brest’s Lilian Brassier. However, the Rossoneri’s immediate priority lies in securing Bologna striker Joshua Zirkzee.

According to reports from L’Equipe, Juventus has initiated contact with Wolfsburg to explore the possibility of a summer move for Lacroix. The Bianconeri are keen on entering the fray against Milan for the highly talented center-back, who is eager to depart from the Bundesliga club in pursuit of his ambitions.

Lacroix, who was acquired by Wolfsburg from FC Sochaux in August 2020 for approximately €5 million, is eyeing the next phase of his career. Wolfsburg, anticipating a substantial windfall from his departure, are poised to reap significant returns from his potential sale come summer.
