Marotta Maintains Silence on Acerbi’s Acquittal: “I Have Nothing to Say”

Inter Milan CEO Beppe Marotta chose not to comment on Francesco Acerbi’s acquittal regarding the racism allegations involving Juan Jesus. According to Sportmediaset, Marotta was approached by journalists upon exiting the Federal Council meeting held earlier today, but declined to comment on the sports judge’s verdict regarding Acerbi, stating simply, “I have nothing to say.”

The president of the Football Federation, Gabriele Gravina, also spoke out on the Acerbi case.

“There is a judge’s decision that everyone must accept, including those who are not satisfied. There are principles that must be respected, otherwise we risk undermining the entire system. I accept the verdict, and on a human level, I will not refrain from embracing Acerbi when I see him. We learned of a review by the sports judge; you know he was called up for the national team, and as a precaution to avoid distractions, we left him out. By internal policy, he provided his reasons, and we believe Acerbi’s words. Those who wear the Azzurri shirt express certain values. We know he’s a good guy and what he has given.”
