Milan are keen on improving the midfield department ahead of next year’s campaign as the Rossonerri have set their sights on Tottenham central play-maker Pierre-Emile Hojbjerg.
Turin-based journal Tuttosport reports, via MilanNews, that coach Stefano Pioli’s side are keen on acquiring the services of the Danish international in the summer market as his contract with the Premier League outfits is set to expire in the summer of 2025.
So far this season, the 28-year-old holding midfielder has only started six out of his 27 appearances in the Permier League under the tenure of former Celtic tactician Ange Postecoglou.
Consequently, the lack of playing time could result in Hojbjerg deciding to part ways with the North London club, forcing Tottenham to offload him in the upcoming transfer window to avoid losing him on a free transfer.
With the Premier League giants currently placing a €20m price-tag on Hojbjerg, Milan are monitoring the situation closely as they view the former Saints midfielder as an ideal candidate within the deep-lying play-maker role.
Serie A compatriots Juventus and Napoli are also interested as the two clubs have been overlooking the Danish international since the winter transfer market.
