Juventus are reportedly ahead of Tottenham Hotspur in the race to sign Bologna centre-back Riccardo Calafiori. Both clubs have expressed a strong interest in the 21-year-old former Roma prospect, following his impressive performances for the Rossoblu this season.
Under Thiago Motta’s guidance at the Stadio Dall’Ara this season, Calafiori has left a significant impression, establishing himself as one of the most promising young Italian defenders in the league.
Transfer journalist Matteo Moretto wrote about Calafiori’s future for Caught Offside, suggesting that Italian sources have reported that Spurs are also keeping tabs on the defender, but Juventus are currently at the forefront in the race to secure the services of the player.
According to Moretto, Juventus have shown the most interest in Calafiori, although it’s still premature to determine his destination for the next season.
