Roma players Stephan El Shaarawy and Nicola Zalewski, alongside Lazio’s Nicolo Casale, have initiated legal proceedings against former paparazzo Fabrizio Corona for aggravated defamation, as per reports from Il Tempo.
Scheduled for November 8th, Corona is required to appear before the judge in Milan for the pre-trial hearing to address the charges. Corona stirred controversy last winter by publicly naming several players allegedly involved in a football betting scandal, including Zaniolo, Tonali, and Fagioli, who were subsequently investigated by the Prosecutor’s Office in Turin.
Utilizing his news portal DillingerNews.it, Corona implicated El Shaarawy, Zalewski, and Casale in the same case, prompting the legal action against him.
All three denied the accusations and have subsequently begun legal proceedings against the paparazzo.
