Evan Ndicka Skips International Break to Focus on Recovery

Start

Roma defender Evan Ndicka has opted to forego international duty with the Ivory Coast and remain at Trigoria during the break. The 24-year-old has been left out of Ivory Coast’s squad for the upcoming friendlies against Benin and Uruguay due to muscle fatigue. Roma requested Ivory Coast’s federation to grant Ndicka time to recuperate.

Corriere della Sera report that Ndicka’s condition poses no risk, and he will concentrate on returning to group training under the supervision of Daniele De Rossi. Roma’s next Serie A match against Lecce is scheduled for April 1st.

Ncdicka arrived in Rome last summer and has gone on to become a key part of the Giallorossi’s back-line, making 26 appearances across all competitions so far this season.
