Juventus director Cristiano Giuntoli responded to reports about Daniele Rugani’s contract extension, saying the defender adds value to the club. The Bianconeri sporting director spoke to Sky Sport Italia ahead of Juve’s match against Genoa and also touched on the future of the trio of Juve youngsters on loan with Frosinone:
“Training camp? It was an idea made with Allegri and shared with the boys. We were happy to have had an extra evening together, and it was to emphasize the fact that against Genoa, it is a very important match that would allow us to consolidate our position and try to come second. We are all convinced that it could have served us.”
“Club World Cup? Juventus will always be a competitive team but obviously, we will have to respect a budget. Surely, we will do our best to be strong on all fronts. We are happy with the Club World Cup, and this means the excellent work done by the club in this recent period.”
“Rugani? We have a great relationship with the boys and their entourage, Daniele is a great player, and for us, he is an added value.”
“Soule? We are happy with him, as with Kaio, Barrenechea, and Arthur. We will then make the evaluations. We are pleased with Soulé, who is doing very well; we will see in the end what his needs will be, those of his entourage, and also ours.”
