Juric: ‘The team is playing at an excellent level’

Start

Torino coach Ivan Juric believes his team is playing at an excellent level, but admits that the international break won’t help them. The Granata travel to Udinese on Saturday afternoon, and previewing the game, Juric explained what kind of challenge he expects from the Bianconeri:

Is the break coming at a good time?

“I believe the team is performing well, and in such a moment, you hope it continues, so I’d say no.”

Udinese is coming off a great victory against Lazio, what are the challenges?

“They have tremendous individual talents and a playing style that has been consolidated over the years. They wait for you to hit them on the break with their technical skills and also on set pieces. From my perspective, they have a significant squad.”

There will be many internationals; is it satisfying for a coach?

“We need to understand the precise list of who will be called up, but for me, it’s a pleasure to see the players gain value and recognition.”

Is this game the last chance for Europe?

“Yes. I think the team is playing at excellent levels but hasn’t been able to capitalize. Details have been lacking, and we haven’t been able to earn the points we deserved based on our level of play. The players must believe, but surely, you have to start winning. Even in an unclean way, but starting to win.”
