An agreement has been reached between Lecce and former Spezia coach Luca Gotti to replace Roberto D’Aversa. The contract extends until the end of the season with an option for renewal in case of salvation. The first training session is scheduled for tomorrow.
Following the dismissal of Roberto D’Aversa (who received a lengthy ban after his clash with Hellas Verona striker Thomas Henry), Lecce are starting afresh with Gotti. The meeting held this morning between the former Spezia coach and the Salento club has resulted in a breakthrough, with both parties reaching a total agreement and now ready to officially embark on their journey together.
Sky Sport Italia outline how the Giallorossi immediately identified Gotti as the right candidate for the bench, with Gotti having already submitted a letter of resignation to Spezia, the club with which he was under contract. The new coach will lead his first training session on Wednesday.
