Juventus are actively exploring options to reinforce their squad for the upcoming summer transfer window, with director Cristiano Giuntoli reportedly initiating discussions with Mario Hermoso’s representatives regarding a potential move to Turin.
As the Bianconeri gear up for their return to the Champions League, they are keen on securing cost-effective signings to enhance their roster. While significant investments are anticipated in midfield, the club is also eyeing reinforcements in other areas.
With recent reports linking Manchester United to Juventus defender Gleison Bremer, the Old Ladyare reportedly considering alternatives. Bremer’s valuation at around €60 million has led Juventus to explore potential replacements, and Hermoso has emerged as a target.
According to Daniele Longo of Calciomercato.com, Giuntoli has reached out to Hermoso’s agents to discuss the possibility of a free transfer in the summer. The 28-year-old center-back’s contract with Atletico Madrid is due to expire in June, making him an attractive option for Juventus.
The Bianconeri are specifically seeking a left-footed defender who excels in one-on-one situations and contributes to build-up play. Hermoso’s reported salary of €4 million net per season aligns with Juventus’ wage structure, making him a viable target. Currently, he appears to be a more convincing option than Bournemouth’s Lloyd Kelly.
