Roma manager Daniele De Rossi expressed his delight with the team’s performance following their victory over Monza and the recent series of positive results. During his post-match press conference at the UPower Stadium in Lombardy, De Rossi spoke about the team’s positive momentum and his energetic beginning as head coach at Roma.
“I dreamed of a start like this,” said De Rossi. “We need to run more, continue to work hard on our fitness levels, and focus on our defensive shape. My experience from the UEFA Pro course, where I came with Palladino, has been beneficial. We are physically fit, and this victory is a testament to that.”
“Was today our best performance? If you consider the full 90 minutes, then yes, but we also performed very well against Inter. However, in the 15 minutes of the second half of that match, Inter demonstrated their quality.”
“In other matches, we’ve had moments of inconsistency. We had some lapses, but overall, we started strongly. I particularly liked this match because Monza is a tough opponent. When you consistently perform at a high level, there are occasional risks. It’s something we need to work on. Monza has often posed difficulties for its opponents.”
