Former Juventus midfielder Claudio Marchisio has embarked on a new venture in the world of football, establishing his own player agency alongside agent Alessandro Tocci. With this new endeavor, Marchisio is reportedly eyeing a move for Newcastle United goalkeeper Loris Karius to Serie A.
Marchisio, known for his illustrious career with Juventus, retired from professional football at the conclusion of the 2018-19 season, following a brief stint with Zenit Saint Petersburg. His ties to Juventus spanned an impressive 25 years, during which he evolved from a promising youth player to an integral part of the first team.
Since retiring from the pitch, Marchisio has remained active in various capacities, including authoring a follow-up book detailing his life experiences and serving as a columnist for the newspaper Corriere della Sera. Despite calls from fans for a potential return to Juventus in a different role, no concrete developments have emerged on that front.
According to reports from La Gazzetta dello Sport, Marchisio and Tocci have established a player agency named ‘Circum’, which already represents several promising young talents, including Bayer Munich’s Davide Dell’Erba and Inter’s Francesco Stante.
Among the players under the representation of Marchisio’s agency is Loris Karius, the German goalkeeper currently occupying the third-choice role at Newcastle United. Karius gained notoriety for his unfortunate performance in the 2017-18 Champions League final with Liverpool.
Now, Karius is reportedly seeking a move to Serie A, motivated by his desire for a fresh start after struggling to make a significant impact at Newcastle. His personal life has also garnered attention recently, following the birth of his child with DAZN presenter Diletta Leotta.
