Juventus already have an ‘agreement’ in place with Sassuolo should they want to sign youngster Hamed Junior Traore. The 22-year-old is enjoying a successful loan spell with the Neroverdi having spent his youth career in Empoli.
Traore came close to signing for the Bianconeri in June 2019 when Empoli president Fabrizio Corsi said:
“The deal with Juventus (for Hamed junior Traore) is in the pipeline, there’s just the signatures missing but everything is defined.”
After signing for Sassuolo a few months later, it was reported that Juve retained a preferential option for the player.
Transfer journalist Mirko Di Natale has now confirmed this, stating:
“There is no clause in favor of Juve (for Traore). There’s a pre-emption (or preferential channel) that could be exploited by the Bianconeri worth €16 million. It is very reminiscent of the deal for Demiral: there was an offer of €25 million offer from Atletico, but he went to Turin for €18 million.”
