Juventus Eye Left-Footed Defender as Alex Sandro Replacement

Start

As Juventus prepare for the upcoming transfer window, a key focus lies in securing a left-footed defender  to fill the void left by Alex Sandro. With Sandro’s contract set to expire at the end of the season and no renewal in sight, the Bianconeri are in search of a suitable replacement to bolster their squad depth, according to reports from La Stampa.

Despite the addition of Tiago Djaló, Juventus recognize the need for reinforcements in defence, particularly with a left-footed player. Among the contenders for this role are Lloyd Kelly from Bournemouth and Mario Hermoso from Atletico Madrid, both of whom are in similar contract situations. However, competition for Kelly is stiff, with Milan and top English clubs also expressing interest.

While Hermoso’s departure from Atletico Madrid is uncertain, Juventus is exploring other options should they miss out on their primary targets. One potential candidate is Riccardo Calafiori, who has been making strides at Bologna. Another option is Reinildo, who, despite recently returning from an ACL injury, has caught Juventus’ attention with his performances for Atletico Madrid.

Additionally, RB Salzburg’s Strahinja Pavlovic is back on Juventus’ radar after previously being pursued by the club. The 22-year-old has flourished in Austria since his move from Monaco, showcasing his talent and potential. With 32 international caps and 3 goals to his name, Pavlovic presents a promising option for Juventus’ midfield reinforcement.
