Bayern Munich Join Race for Juventus Midfielder Adrien Rabiot

Start

With Adrien Rabiot’s contract at Juventus set to expire on June 30, the French midfielder has attracted interest from several clubs, with Bayern Munich being the latest to join the race.

Rabiot had previously allowed his deal to run down last season but eventually opted to extend his stay in Turin for an extra year. However, negotiations for a further extension could once again go down to the wire, particularly given his mother’s reputation as a tough negotiator, who also happens to be his agent.

SportBild report that should Rabiot become a free agent, numerous clubs are expected to make their own offers to secure his services. Inter Milan and Barcelona have already expressed interest, and now German outlet Bild suggests that Bayern Munich are ready to make a move for the talented midfielder.

Signing Rabiot would potentially be a cost-effective solution for Bayern Munich, especially when compared to their other midfield targets for the upcoming summer transfer window. Players like Martin Zubimendi from Real Sociedad, Fulham’s Joao Palhinha, and Federico Redondo from Argentinos Juniors have all been linked with the Bundesliga giants.

Approaching his 29th birthday in April, Rabiot initially joined Juventus as a free agent from Paris Saint-Germain in the summer of 2019. Since then, he has amassed 197 appearances for the Bianconeri across all competitions, contributing 20 goals and 15 assists during his time in Turin.
