In a bid to bolster their attacking options, Fiorentina set their sights on two standout performers from this Serie A season: Valentin Carboni and Albert Gudmundsson.
Sky Sport Italia report that for both Valentin Carboni and Albert Gudmundsson, Fiorentina presented identical offers to their respective clubs: €20 million. However, both Inter and Genoa have responded with a negative outcome. Genoa are adamant about retaining the Icelandic forward, a key figure in Gilardino’s squad with 9 goals to his name in the current campaign.
The negotiations take a different turn for Valentin Carboni, currently on loan at Monza from Inter. The Nerazzurri consider the 2005-born talent untouchable and intend to allow him to continue his development at Monza, where he will conclude the season.
Fiorentina may explore another attempt to secure the services of Andrea Belotti, who has been rejecting offers from abroad. The striker is keen on staying in Italy if a move from Roma materializes. The Viola has also made efforts for Brian Rodriguez, but Club America has not shown willingness to close the deal. The situation remains stagnant for Vargas of Augsburg.
