Napoli have officially secured the services of Leander Dendoncker from Aston Villa. The 28-year-old midfielder joins the Serie A side on loan with an option to buy set at €10 million. After completing his medical examinations in Rome on Wednesday, the player’s contract has now been deposited with the league.
The club took to the official statement to confirm the acquisition, disclosing that Napoli has deposited Leander Dendoncker’s contract with Serie A. The temporary agreement includes a predetermined fee of €10 million for the potential permanent transfer.
Club president Aurelio De Laurentiis expressed his welcome, stating, “Benvenuto Leander!” Following this, the customary official statement from the Campania-based club was released, formally announcing Dendoncker’s arrival.
The statement reads, “SSC Napoli announces the acquisition of the sporting services of Leander Dendoncker from Aston Villa Football Club, utilizing the loan with an option to buy formula.”
