Setback in Kean’s Move to Atletico Madrid: Delays in Operation with Juventus

Start

Moise Kean’s proposed move to Atletico Madrid looks to have hit a snag, with talks between the Spanish side and Juventus stalling. The Bianconeri were reportedly open to agreeing a loan switch, but reports from Italy suggest the move may not be a straightforward one.

Gianluca Di Marzio reports that expected updates this morning could potentially provide more clarity on the negotiation status between Atletico Madrid and Juventus regarding the 2000-born striker. The initial plan was for Kean to arrive in the Spanish capital on Monday, January 29. However, the operation is experiencing a snag, primarily due to the fact that Atletico Madrid has yet to finalize the departure of Angel Correa, one of the many forwards in Diego Simeone’s squad.

The delay in Correa’s exit has introduced the first doubts about the successful completion of the deal, despite verbal agreements reached in the preceding days.

Kean, who has made just twelve appearances this season without finding the back of the net, is currently sidelined for over a month due to a shin injury. These recent setbacks, both in terms of form and fitness, add an additional layer of complexity to the negotiation process.
